About 35 years ago, your host family, Christoph and Claudia Grainer, made it their life goal and livelihood to celebrate life’s joys and prepare gastronomical delicacies for food connoisseurs.
Enjoy traditional Austrian cuisine surrounded by warm-hearted service in a uniquely historic, and quaint atmosphere in the middle of the Kaprun valley. With a painfully vast selection of dishes to choose from, you have the options of both typical Austrian dishes and regional specialties on our menu.
Our restaurant is most well known for its steaks served on a hot searing stone. Further you will find-deer, lamb, and many traditional dishes accompanied by a refreshing cold beer or a smooth glass of wine.

Our chefs work day and night to provide nothing short of the finest tastes to our guests. Depending on the time of the year, you will find various seasonal specialties on our menu. Due to the changing nature of our menu, we only display a part of our menu online which remains concrete online. You might just be pleasantly surprised by all the other delicacies to explore upon your visit at Der Dorfstadl.

Whether your party is big or small, you’ll find a suitable spot for you, your significant other, your family, or your group of friends in our two-storied restaurant. We warmly welcome you and your guests for birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, weddings, company outings, Christmas, New Years and anything else you would like to celebrate. ‘Der Dorfstadl’ offers space for up to 150 people, and upon request, we would be delighted to create a hand-picked menu for your time with us.
